BAND SUPPORT

The Shepton High School Band Booster Club is a charitable, non-profit organization whose purpose is to encourage enthusiastic support and interest in the marching band program. This button will lead you to the various ways you can help support the band.

Charms

Visit Charms for announcements and up-to-date information from your band directors. You’ll find the official SheptonHS Band event calendar, handouts for students, mp3 files for required listening assignments, and study guides for final exams.

Membership Toolkit

Visit Membership Toolkit to access the directory of band families, fill out your band registration forms, order required uniform items, order fun spirit wear items, and volunteer for football games and events.

VOLUNTEERS

The Band Boosters invite you to explore all the volunteer opportunities available throughout the program and to find the perfect fit for your time and interest. It takes a lot to “keep the band moving”.

Band Directors

David Herring
Director of Bands, Shepton High School
Mr. Herring was born and raised in Arkansas, and is in his 5th year as Director of bands at Shepton High School. He earned his BM in Music Performance from Henderson State University and his MM in Music Performance from Illinois University. Previously he taught at Jasper High School, Princeton, Commerce and was a private instructor for five years in the Plano and Frisco school districts. He lives in McKinney Texas with his wife Michelle, sons Graeme and Brennan, cats Puck and Timber, and dog Lily.
Zach Shirley
Associate Director of Bands, Shepton High School
Mr. Shirley, a Plano West graduate, is in his second year as the Associate Director of Bands at Shepton High School. He directs the Symphonic Band and assists with the other concert ensembles and the Shepton Silver Stampede Marching Band. He graduated from the University of North Texas in 2012 with a B.M. in Music Education. Mr. Shirley is a member of TMEA, TBA, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, a national music fraternity, and his hobbies include running, yoga, and, of course, playing music.
